アマルティア・セン（Amartya Sen, 1933年11月3日 - ）は経済学者であり、グローバルな視点からの貧困のメカニズムを説明しようとした厚生経済学における理論で有名である。センの理論はまた倫理学や社会学にも影響を与えている。

センはインドのベンガルに生まれ、その後カルカッタ、デリー、オックスフォード、ハーバードの大学で教え、1997年から2004年までの間ケンブリッジ大学のトリニティー・カレッジの学寮長であった。2004年の一月にはハーバード大学に戻っている。また、センは彼の経済の数理解析における貢献によって、1998年にノーベル経済学賞、翌年にはインドの文民に与えられる最高の賞であるバラト・ラトナ賞を受賞している。
